“Those we love remain with us,
For love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade,
Because a loved one’s gone.
Those we love can never be,
More than a thought apart,
For as long as there is memory,
They’ll live on in the heart.”
With much love today and always.
Love,
Jill Hadaway & David Butler
Richard and I loved Mary. She always made you feel ‘at home’. We are both under the weather and will not be able to attend the services but will be with you in thoughts and prayers. Love you all.
Mary was the sweetest, kindest person I ever knew. She was truly special, but her words of encouragement and praise always made you feel like YOU were the special one. She was a life long friend, a brilliant artist and art teacher. Walls in my parents’ home are adorned with her paintings, lovely flowers painted directly ON their walls! When I was young I took art classes from her, and a large Christmas picture she helped me design and paint still hangs, and will always hang on MY wall every Holiday Season! I will miss you Mary, and I will always remember your shining smile and sweet lyrical voice. You are one of God’s most beautiful creations and I know he is glad to have you back!
Our thoughts and prayers are with Mary’s family. Loved and admired this beautiful lady. She will always be a wonderful memory of growing up in Stone Mountain.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you Mel and Todd praying for you and your family God bless
I’m so very sorry for your loss! Ms Mary was such a nice person! Sending prayers and love your way!!
Sincerest condolences to the family. I remember Mrs. Davis as such a nice lady. Certainly she is a significant memory to me growing up in Stone Mountain and as a youth at the First Baptist Church. I am sorry I did not learn of the services until after the day had passed.
Mel and Todd,
So very sorry to hear of your beautiful mom’s passing. She was always so well dressed and made an impression when she walked into a room.
I hope time will help all of you heal.
Most Sincerely,
Mary was a joy to know as a friend, employee and co-worker. She was very kind, worked well with children and staff members. I remember well when she was employed at Smoke Rise Elementary School, during my tenure there as principal. Through the years, I know her she always radiated a sweet smile.
Mrs. Davis was a wonderful neighbor and an inspiration at Stone Mountain First Baptist. Thank you for so many memories.
Prayers from the Rawlins family.
Prayers go out to Mel, Courtney and Todd. Just hearing about your mom. Mrs. Davis was kind to me and my family throughtout my youth,as a neighbor and growing up in Stone Mountain First Baptist.
