Barbara Jean (Spear) Muck, 74, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.
She was born to Charles Pershing Spear and Jessie Pearl Spear (Howell), October 24, 1946 in Phenix City, Alabama. She was married to Joseph Muck, III, in 1962. Barbara is survived by three sons, Joseph Muck, IV, wife Suzanne, Thomas Muck, wife Lara, and Daniel Muck; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Also survived by William Spear, brother, Joan Lambert, sister and Leon Elder, Step-Father.
As a young girl, daughter of the military, Barbara moved around the country with her family, but that did not last long as Barbara met the man she would spend the next 58 years loving and supporting and building a family starting when she was only 15 years old. Working full time and caring for her family full time was her way of life. A stay at home mom in the early years, she volunteered at the local school as a Para-Pro and Library Assistant to be close to her sons. She raised her three boys until 1998, when she joined Barton Executive Search as an Administrative Assistant, eventually working up to Director of Administration. It was a career she took with great pride, with a team she loved. Barbara’s love was only matched by the energy she possessed. She slept little and cared deeply. Her cooking was famous, her recipes straight from her head and made straight from the heart. She fed so many and nourished us all with her love, strength, and energy.

Barb is my friend, my hero! I have known her for over twenty years, and I knew the moment I met her that I wanted to be her friend. Her kindness to everyone, her selflessness and love for family and friends was inspiring. I feel so honored to know her and she will forever be in my heart.
