Jerry Lamar Mason, born on February 22, 1935, in Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025, as a resident of Gainesville, Georgia. A man of deep faith, unwavering work ethic, and endless love for his family, Jerry lived a life full of purpose, humility, and heart.

A proud graduate of Dacula High School, Jerry enjoyed the simple joys in life—working in his yard, reading the Bible, sipping coffee, and spending cherished time with his family. His warm spirit and easy conversation made him a joy to be around, and his stories of life and experience left lasting impressions on all who listened.

Jerry was a hardworking man through and through. He served as a police officer and worked at Minute Save, but was best known for running his own repossession company, a family effort that exemplified his entrepreneurial drive and dedication. No matter what he was doing, he always made time for his loved ones, ensuring they felt valued, protected, and loved.

He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He adored his family, and his face would light up when surrounded by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His quiet strength and dependable nature were the foundation of a family who looked to him with admiration and love.

Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Greta Tanner Mason, who passed away on January 21, 1993, as well as his parents, Clarence and Omie Lee (Gower) Mason.

He is survived by his children Greg Mason, Chris Mason, and Carla Tidwell (Mark); his grandchildren Jessica Loyson (Matt), Josh Mason, Jennifer Maddalena (AJ), Tyler Tidwell (Nicole), Heather Dennis (Zach), Alex Tidwell (Mallarie), Christian Mason, and Haley Mason; and eleven great-grandchildren who brought joy and laughter into his life.

A visitation will be held at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel from 1:00–2:00 PM on Thursday, April 17, 2025, with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 PM at Gwinnett Memorial Park.

Jerry will be remembered for his kind heart, his tireless dedication, and the love he poured into every member of his family. His legacy of strength, love, and faith will live on through all who knew and loved him.
