Daniel Thorpe MacLeod left this world to be with our Lord on October 9, 2020 after a courageous battle against esophageal cancer. He was 71.

He is dancing to the Scottish beat in heaven with his father, Duncan Alexander MacLeod; his mother, Eula Thorpe MacLeod; and his sister, Robyn Lynn MacLeod.

Daniel was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a skilled carpenter and contractor. He was the most down to earth person with a way to make you smile no matter what was going on. He was an amazing grandfather who deeply loved all his grandchildren and supported them in whatever interests they wanted to pursue. His second most favorite pastime was smoking cannabis. He was one of the last true hippies. He will be missed.

Daniel is survived by: Geralyn MacLeod; brother, Robert Duncan MacLeod; sons, Donald Scott MacLeod and Keith MacLeod; daughter, Jessica Emily MacLeod. He is also survived by grandchildren: Zachary MacLeod, Celeste Burns, Gwyneth MacLeod, Alessandra Vazquez, Clarissa Vazquez, Dylan MacLeod, RJ Parker, Marshall MacLeod, Brennan MacLeod and Charleigh MacLeod. Great grandson, Kamanii Brouwer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He also has fur babies: Tebow, Autumn (his favorite), Marley and Melvin.
