Geraldine (Gerri) Eva Holroyd, 96 has left this world to go on to her next adventure. She departed on 2/16/2025, in Lawrenceville, GA. It was with gracefulness and serenity that this Aquarian soul has moved onward.
She was born on January 25, 1929, in Seaside, CA to Pearl Webb and Gerald Rodriguez. Geraldine was raised by her loving grandfather, Frank Webb, and she was a California girl of five generations. She went to Whittier High School in California with her sister Adeline and raised her family in Norwalk, CA. with her husband, Dr. Edward A Holroyd Jr. Geraldine was active at her church, St. Linus Catholic Church, in Norwalk, CA and was a wonderful Girl Scout leader and Cub Scout leader. She worked and retired from General Telephone Co. in Downey, CA as a Directory Assistance Operator and Assignment Clerk. After retirement she moved to Lawrenceville, GA to be close to her daughter and lived her remaining life among her beautiful gardens, birds, and with her devoted Siamese cat, and companion, Wendy. When not reading a book of interest the beauty of nature was her place of respite and enjoyment, both in CA and in GA. Even up to the age of 93, she worked hard in her garden as a way to be closer to God and all the things made beautiful!
Geraldine is survived by her sons, Arthur Holroyd, Lance Holroyd (Keli Holroyd), her daughter, Leslie Villegas (Jess Villegas), grandchildren; Jason Diaz, Sean Diaz, Nicolle Lewis (Greg Lewis), Jodi Stephens and Justin Villegas (Mary Villegas), and her great grandchildren; Jackson Lewis and Dylan Lewis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Edward A. Holroyd Jr., her son, Richard J. Diaz, her sister, Adeline Underwood and her brother, Robert Cano.
May she be at peace and her memory will forever be in our hearts.
