It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Charles Gregory (Greg) Brown, age 64, on March 4, 2024. A cherished resident of Monroe, GA, Greg was born in Rome, GA, and grew up to touch the lives of many with his kindness, humor, and generosity.
Greg dedicated his professional life to Primerica Printing, where he worked from 1983 until his retirement in 2020. A proud graduate of Central Gwinnett High School, he carried the spirit of his community close to his heart throughout his life. As a devout Baptist, Greg’s faith was a guiding light in his life, providing him with strength and solace.
An enthusiastic Georgia Football fan, Greg also found joy in golf and grilling. His weekends were often spent cheering on his favorite team or perfecting his grill master skills in the company of family and friends. Greg’s kind and caring nature made him a devoted son, brother, husband, and friend. He had the unique ability to make everyone around him feel comfortable and cherished.
Greg was known for his humility and willingness to help others, often going out of his way to support those in need. He could effortlessly bring laughter and joy to any gathering, thanks to his sneaky sense of humor.
Preceded in death by his beloved mother, Janice Nadine Brown, and his grandparents, Evelyn & Doyle Yarbrough and Lucile & Chester Brown, Greg’s legacy of love and compassion lives on through his family.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Sherri Ann Brown; his father, Jimmy Charles Brown; his sisters, Renee Brown (Eddie) and Sherri Hannon (Cary); and his loyal dog, Abby, who was a constant source of joy and companionship. Also mourning his loss are a community of friends and relatives who were blessed to know him.
