  1. I worked with John for awhile when I first went to work with DeKalb County (Internal Audit). He was a good guy, missed him when he left.

  2. CandleImageI worked with John when he worked with DeKalb County Budget. Always enjoyed conversing with him and was happy and sad when he decided to retire. His family are in my thoughts and prayers.

  3. CandleImageI worked with John for many years in Dekalb County. He was an expert in his field and always worked to discuss and resolve issues that the departments he supported had. I am forever grateful for his friendship and knowledge during his tenure. Rest well John. Sending loving prayers and thoughts to his family and close friends.

  4. CandleImageMy sincerest condolences to Terri and the rest of John’s family and friends. Working with John as a finance counterpart and when he became my Budget Analyst was a joy. John was knowledgeable, considerate and worked well with everyone. His presence at DeKalb County has been missed since his retirement to enjoy life. Learning of his transition saddens me. But, I must remember to be absent in the earthly form means he’s present with our Lord and Savior. No more pain. May God send his angels to surround his family during this difficult time and beyond. He left cherished memories to all who encountered him. To God be the Glory.

  5. CandleImageThe DeKalb County Accounting Services Department sends our warmest condolences. We’re sending thoughts of peace and courage your way. John had institutional knowledge, which was greatly appreciated. He always provided a backstory on the process and smiled the most when he came to my office.

  6. CandleImageJohn was a wonderful neighbor and friend. I cannot count the many times he helped me with things in and around my home. He even helped me to understand my tax assessment. I will miss his cheery “Hi Karen”, but am grateful for the many years I have known him.

  7. CandleImageJohn Horn was the Budget Analyst for the Human Services Department for a few years. I always admired his quiet demeanor and pleasant personality. He was so easy to talk to and joy to work with. May his soul rest in peace.

  8. CandleImageMay your family and friends find comfort in their memories of times shared with you. Godspeed as you now rest in the loving arms of your Creator.

  9. CandleImageSending our thoughts, and prayers to the Terry and all of the Thompson family during this sorrowful time. As you go through this difficult time, remember that you are not alone and you’re loved. John is with our Heavenly Father, and all our loved ones that have gone before us. May God continue to comfort you and give you peace as you grieve.

  10. CandleImageTerry, many years have passed since we have enjoyed each other’s company at a CDN Woman’s Club activity. I always admired John’s smile and quiet demeanour. Please accept my heartfelt condolences on your loss. Rest in peace, John.
