It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lonnie Carroll Ashworth on March 15, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on November 17, 1943, Lonnie lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and love for his family and community.
In honor of his memory, the family requests that donations be made to Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes, The SA Ashworth Memorial Fund, or a charity of your choice supporting children or the elderly — causes that were near to Lonnie’s heart.
Lonnie’s legacy of compassion and warmth will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him. He will be dearly missed.
