Born in: Greenville, NC
Resided in: Loganville, GA

Robert Jason Barbour, age 46, entered rest on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 after a heroic battle with brain cancer. Jason prided himself as a hard worker, loyal friend, and committed family man. Jason never met a challenge he couldn’t conquer. He could drive the biggest piece of machinery, move mountains of earth, solve complex problems, and drive all night to be home with his wife and children.

Jason loved to travel and made lasting memories with his family in Carolina Beach, NC and exploring national parks with his best friends.

Jason is survived by his wife Tamatha, his three children Sterling, Summer, and Spencer (Nikki), his three grandchildren Skylar, Alaura, and Asherah, his mother Lee Paul and step-father Glenn, his father Bob Barbour and step-mother Shelagh, his mother in-law Terry Duncan, his brother John (Holly), step siblings, Jason (Tosha) Allen, Ashley Allen, Alex Paul, and Abby (Robert) Miller, brothers in-law Roger and James Duncan, his nieces Eliza and Laelagh, and nephews Caleb, Christian, Gavin, Mason, and Drake.

Jason provided for everyone he could in life and was always there for others when they needed help. During his fight with cancer, he was provided for and loved by friends and family from near and far. He made sure to tell us all, “I love you” as often as he could. That love was returned to him many times over giving his family comfort knowing he has crossed over in peace.

A memorial celebration will be planned by his friends and family later this year in the Loganville, GA area. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jason Barbour Memorial Fund to support his family’s financial needs: https://gofund.me/e00ec0d5

  1. CandleImageI miss you already bro. I hope you know how much you were loved and respected. You were the hardest working man I have ever known and stepped up for your family in ways other men run from. You were a great Dad and a great big brother. Rest easy and know I have your back.

  2. CandleImageI have so many things to say, yet I can’t find the correct words to describe how important you are to me. I never imagined losing you so soon. You were the person I would go to for support when I felt overwhelmed and lost. You were so wise and always had my best interest at heart. You were my rock and the most amazing father I could ever ask for. There won’t be a day that goes by where I won’t miss you and wish you were here with us. I will remind Asherah every day how much she is loved by her papa. I love you Dad.

  3. CandleImageI can’t find the words Dad. I know you understand. I still feel like it can’t be real. I’m gonna come to your house and you’ll be out back waiting for me to come sit with you on the porch, telling me hey Kid, come sit down. I miss you so much. I can’t find the words to say. I know I said what I needed to when I think it was supposed to be said. I’m glad I was able to tell you and get it all off my chest. You’re my number one Superhero in my life and I’m not sure what I’ll do without you here but I know you’re with me Always no matter what. I love you my Daddy. Love Always, Kid.
