In Loving Memory
Virginia Diane Cotton
June 4, 1942 – January 14, 2022

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our cherished Virginia Diane Cotton (79), on January 14, 2022. Diane was born in Thomaston, GA on June 4th and was preceded in death by her parents William and Lucille Daniel and sister Carol June Hardage.

Married to her best friend Roger, Diane was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Blessed with a large and loving family, she leaves behind her husband, Roger Cotton, her children and their spouses; Kelli Gonyea (Steve), Kim Cresswell, Candice Cotton, Donna Fuente (Eduardo) and George Cotton, and her brother, Ansel “Butch” Daniel. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren Jessica and Justin Gonyea, Ruby Cresswell, and Alik Cotton.

Diane loved spending time with family and her many close friends, spontaneous road trips with Roger, going wherever the road took them, and watching the birds and wildlife in her backyard. Her infectious smile and positive attitude are the legacy that will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with, “One Life Lived, Many Lives Touched”.

We invite you to celebrate her life and share your stories of remembrance of Diane as she enters into her next chapter in peace on January 22nd, 2022, at Wages and Sons Funeral Home, Lawrenceville, GA from 2-5 pm.

In lieu of flowers, help her kindness, loyalty, and compassion continue by making a donation to one the of organizations Diane loved:
